Agreement on agricultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the State of Israel.

Type of law

The Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the State of Israel, believing that the bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture will facilitate the improvement of livelihood of the peoples of the Parties' States, have agreed to cooperate in the following fields: (a) poultry breeding; (b) fishery; (c) greenhouses; (d) food security; (e) exchange of experience on fruit tree disease control; (f) exchange of experts and scholars on horticultural research and development; (g) exchange of experience and technology in mechanization of agricultural crop production and agricultural machinery equipment (including research, designing, manufacturing and installation); (h) exchange of knowledge in agriculture irrigation and water-saving technology; (i) exchange of experience on creation of cooperatives, consolidation of soil; and (j) any other field of mutual interest. The Parties will conduct cooperation in the following ways: (a) exchange of agricultural information; (b) exchange of visits by scientists, interns and experts; (c) organization of joint seminars and training courses; (d) organization of exhibitions; and (e) encouragement of the establishment of joint ventures.

Entry into force notes
This Agreement enters into force on 21 January 2013.
This Agreement will be valid for a period of five years and will be extended automatically for the same periods unless either of the Parties expresses its desire to terminate it in a written form six months prior to its intended expiration.
