Presidential Decree No. 236/21 approving the Revision of the Agreement on Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Republic of Portugal.

This Presidential Decree approves the Revision of the Agreement on Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Republic of Portugal. This Agreement applies to all Investments made by one of the Parties in the territory of the other Party, in accordance with the applicable Law of the latter, not applying, however, to disputes and/or claims that result from facts that occurred before of its entry into force. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to prevent a Party from exercising its rights and fulfill its obligations as a member of an economic integration agreement, such as the European Union and the African Continental Free Trade Area, or to oblige a Party to extend to the investors of the other Party and its Investments any benefit, present or future, treatment, preference or privilege arising from participation in such Agreement.
