Abstract
This Decision has been adopted by the Commission within the framework laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 which establishes that the Commission itself is to suspend the placing on the market or use of a food (or feed) that is likely to cause a serious risk to human health. The Decision applies to the hot chilli and hot chilli products referred to in article 1, regardless of their form, destined to human consumption. Articles 2 and 3 establish conditions for import of such products. An analytical report shall accompany the consignments in order to demonstrate that the products do not contain certain substances. Adulterated consignments are to be destroyed (art. 5).
