Law on the import, export and cross-border transport of hazardous waste.

The purpose of this Law is to protect the national territory against hazardous waste, including explosives, flammable liquids and solids, combustible or radioactive substances, toxic substances, oxidants, corrosives and organic peroxides. Importing hazardous waste for use, storage, temporary storage or destruction shall be prohibited. Export of hazardous waste shall be authorized in accordance with export permits issued by the central governmental body. Any person that violates regulations on the collection, packaging, temporary storage, transport, recycling and storage of hazardous waste shall be liable for damages for any harm to human health, property or the environment.
