Abstract
The purpose of this Law shall be to regulate the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna, and the granting of licences for the international sale of animals and plants listed in Appendix II of the Convention, or of their derivatives. The Administrative Council and Scientific Council shall be the authorized state institutions responsible for implementing the Convention on the national territory and shall issue import and export licences for endangered species and their derivatives. Trade of endangered animals, plants and their derivatives for commercial purposes listed in Annex 1 to the Convention shall be prohibited, and trade of endangered animals, plants and their derivatives for commercial purposes listed in Annex 2 to the Convention shall be permitted. The Law sets out terms and conditions for the issuance or denial of import and export licences and, in the case of issuance, lists the required certificates.
