Abstract
This Presidential Decree approves the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Angola and the Government of the Republic of Turkey for the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments, signed in Ankara, on 27 July 2021. The Agreement applies to investments within the territory of a Contracting Party, carried out in accordance with its national laws and regulations, by investors of the other Contracting Party, either before or after the entry into force of this Agreement. The Agreement does not apply to any disputes that have arisen before its entry into force and regulates, among others, the protective measures, compensation for damage or loss, expropriation and compensation, expatriation and transfers relating to investment and dispute resolution. Contracting Party shall not revoke nor derogate from health, safety, environmental legislation or its labour standards as a means of encouraging investment by investors of the other Contracting Party.
