National Parks Ordinance (Amendment) Act, 1974 (No. 27 of 1974).

Section 16 prohibits hunting, capturing, killing, wounding or molesting of an animal without a written permit signed by the authorized officer. Penalties for contravention are established. Section 17 prohibits, save with a permit in writing signed by the authorized officer, the digging of pitfall or laying of nets, traps, etc. and having in possession of weapons of which cannot be proved that is was intended for other use than hunting.
