Presidential Decree No. 201/10 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Environment (MINAMB).

This Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry for Environment (MINAMB). The Statute, consisting of 5 Chapters and 2 Tables, divided into 27 articles, establishes attributions, composition and competences of the above mentioned institution, entited to coordinate strategies and policies for natural resources sustainable rational management; to design and control the fulfiment of the National Programme for Environmental Management; to design the legal framework to regulate the environmental sector; to guarantee the actual implementation of the National legislation; to promote trainings and education on environment, through dialogue and participation in order to a better environmental awareness; to develop environmental assessment and monitoring systems and promote its publica dissemination, etc.
