Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the TSE Animal Material Act (BGBl. No. 141/2003) and the Epizootic Diseases Act (RGBl. No. 177/1909). In particular, the present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to notification, delivery, forwarding, as well as takeover of animal by-products not intended for human consumption. The Ordinance contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as “animal by-products”, “material of class 1”, “material of class 2”, “material of class 3”. The producer of animal by-products and materials falling within class 1, 2 or 3 has to inform without delay an authorized firm. These products have to be stored in a cool place until their collection. The text consists of 12 articles.
