Abstract
The purpose of the present Act is to promote an increase in the contribution of renewable energy sources to electricity production. Renewable energy sources are defined as renewable non-fossil energy sources, i.e. wind, solar, geothermal, wave, tidal, hydropower, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas and biogases (art. 5). The text consists of 58 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Power plants and facilities (2); Subsidies for industries (3); Promotion of establishment or revitalization of power plants (4); Bodies dealing with eco-electricity (5); Raising and administration of subsidies (6); Other provisions (7); Transitional provisions and entry into force (8).
