Abstract
These Regulations, consisting of seven Chapters, provide for the requirements to be satisfied in order to register National vessels and to control maritime operation aiming to avoid oil Pollution of the Sea. These Regulations are divided as follows: Surveys and Certification (Chap. II); Requirements for Machinery Spaces of all Ships (Chap. III); Requirements for the Cargo Area of Oil Tankers (Chap. IV); Prevention of pollution arising from Oil Pollution Incident (Chap. V); Reception Facilities (Chap. VI); Special Requirements for Fixed or Floating Platforms (Chap. VII).
