Decree No. 1.745 establishing the Sustainable Harmonic Development Policy of the State of Pará (Pará Sustentável).

This Decree creates the Sustainable Harmonic Development Policy of the State of Pará (Pará Sustentável), with the purpose of coordinating government actions and articulating partnerships with the private sector and organized civil society, aiming to promote the sustainable development of the State. The Policy will promote the integrated and systemic action of specific State policies. Its guidelines are: promote sustainable economic growth in the State; promote the verticalization and innovation of production chains in the territory of Pará; identify potential for improvement in local infrastructure, aiming to expand the State's flow capacity and improve the population's quality of life; promote the control and reduction of deforestation in the State through prevention and inspection actions, seeking to reduce degradation and contain the loss of biodiversity; carry out planning for the development of urban, peri-urban and rural areas, encouraging sustainable water management, waste reduction and management; encourage the exercise of citizenship, fostering social area, autonomy and equity through family-centered actions, with a focus on overcoming poverty and effective participation in the process of economic and social development; promote access to the social protection and assistance network, encouraging the enjoyment of social assistance rights; support and reinforce regional development planning that guarantees harmony between economic, social and environmental actions, ensuring sustainable production and consumption patterns; establish new governance mechanisms within the scope of public management, with the expansion of spaces for collective participation and the establishment of discussion forums with local governments, the private sector and organized civil society.
