Abstract
This Decree approves the Regulation for the Sanitary and Industrial Inspection of Products of Animal Origin within the State of Goiás. This Regulation, in accordance with the relevant federal legislation (Law No. 1.283 of 18 December 1950, Decree No. 30.691 of 29 March 1952, amended by Decree No. 7.889 of 23 November 1989) regulates throughout the State of Goiás, the Industrial and Sanitary Inspection of Products of Animal Origin, in accordance with Law No. 11.904 of 9 February 1993. Animals for meat, game, fish, milk, eggs, honey and derivatives are subject to the inspection. These inspections cover, from an industrial and sanitary point of view, the “ante” and “post-mortem” inspection of animals, the receipt, handling, transformation, elaboration, preparation, conservation, conditioning, packaging, deposit, labelling, transit and consumption of any products and by-products, including vegetables or not, whether or not intended for human consumption. The inspection also covers related products, such as: coagulants, condiments, colorings, preservatives, antioxidants, yeasts and others used in the animal products industry.
