Abstract
This Decree regulates Law No. 13.798 of 9 November 2009, which provides for the State Policy on Climate Change (PEMC). PEMC aims to regulating the necessary adaptations to the impacts of climate change, as well as contributing to the reduction of the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The Decree creates the Steering Committee for the State Climate Change Policy in order to monitor the preparation and implementation of the plans and programmes established by this Decree. In addition, it also creates the State Climate Change Council is an advisory body that monitors the implementation and supervises the execution of the State Climate Change Policy.
