Law No. 12.978 establishing the Campaign to Promote the Preservation and Rehabilitation of Riparian Forests in the State of Paraíba.

This Law establishes the Campaign to Promote the Preservation and Rehabilitation of Riparian Forests in the State of Paraíba, with the objective of encouraging owners of areas located around rivers, ponds, lakes, water reservoirs and other water courses, as well as springs and water holes, to carry out forest rehabilitation. The guidelines of this Campaign are: promotion of educational actions to raise awareness about the importance of preserving and rehabilitate riparian forests for the environment and sustainable development; and provide information about the structure and function of the ecosystem in the region where the property is located.
