Law No. 3.421 providing for the organization of the Direct and Indirect Administration of the State Executive Branch.

This Law provides for the organization of the Direct and Indirect Administration of the State Executive Branch, including the competencies of organs and entities, their corresponding positions in commissioned functions, etc. The Direct Administration, constituted by the organs integrated in the administrative structure of the Government and the State Secretaries are: the Secretariat of the Development of Agriculture and Livestock (now called the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Aquaculture); the Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources; the Mining Agency of the State of Tocantins (AMETO), created under this Law, etc. AMETO is responsible for the following activities: propose, regulate and encourage investments in the sectors of industry, commerce, services and mineral resources, including coordinated actions with other organs aiming at the public policies of Geology, Mining and Mineral transformation. The Agency for the Development of Tourism, Culture and Economy Creative (ADETUC) is responsible for the following activities: propose State tourism policies, regulate and encourage sectoral investments in order to generate income, improve the living conditions of the local population, etc.
