Abstract
This Law, consisting of 7 articles, creates the State Fund to Fight and Eradicate Poverty (FECOEP), according to the Federal Constitutional Amendment No. 31 of 14 December 2000. This Law establishes within the State Executive Power, the above mentioned State Fund in order to enable the entire population of Alagoas access to decent level of subsistence, whose resources will be used exclusively in additional activities related to: nutrition, housing, education, health, sanitation, family income enhancement and other relevant social interest programs, aimed at improving the quality of life, as provided for in art. 82 of the Act of Constitutional Provisions (ADCT of the Federal Constitution).
