Abstract
The present Regulations enact subsection 332(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the discharge of halocarbon into the ambient air.. Section 4 establishes that no person shall install a system that operates or is intended to operate with a halocarbon listed in any of items 1 to 9 of Schedule 1 unless authorized to do so by a permit issued under these Regulations. The text - consisting of 37 sections - deals with the following matters: prohibitions, recovery, installation, servicing, leak testing and charging, release reports, permits and coming into force.
