Abstract
The present Regulations enact the Fisheries Act. At the outset the Regulations contain a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as, for example, certificate, cultured fish, import permit, local fish health officer, wild fish. Section 3 establishes that no person shall import cultured fish or eggs of wild fish without an import permit. Only a local fish health officer for a province may issue, to a person who applies for one, an import permit that authorizes the person to import cultured fish or the eggs of wild fish into that province.
