Protocol amending the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Air Quality (Ozone Annex (2000)).

This Protocol amends the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Air Quality. A new Annex 3, titled "Specific Objectives Concerning Ground-Level Ozone Precursors" is attached as an appendix to this Protocol, and shall be added to the Agreement. The Annex contains specific objectives for volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides, which will reduce transboundary flows of tropospheric ozone and these precursors. The Agreement also contains consequential amendments and amendments of Article VII on public access to the databases containing the emissions and monitoring data reported or shared under this Agreement and Annex 2 with respect to date management.
