Abstract
The present Regulations are made under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act 1999. In particular, the Regulations lays down provisions relating to the protection of the population from adverse effects of the manufacture, import, offering for sale, sale and use of defoamers containing dibenzofuran. Section 4 establishes that no person shall use a defoamer at a mill that uses a chlorine bleaching process, unless it complies with the requirements laid down in this section. The text consists of 7 sections and 2 Schedules.
