Abstract
The present Ordinance implements, inter alia, the Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for the hygiene of foodstuffs. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to hygienic requirements for the production, processing and marketing of certain foodstuff of animal origin. The text consists of 25 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: Sphere of application and definition of terms (1); Inspection of meat produced for domestic consumption (1a); Sale of small amounts of primary products and other foodstuff of animal origin (2); Requirements for retail sale (3); Requirements for the production, processing and marketing of foodstuff relating to EC-Regulation No. 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down specific hygiene rules for the hygiene of foodstuffs (4); Common requirements for the sale of small amount of foodstuff, for retail sale and production, processing and marketing of foodstuff relating to EC Regulation No. 853/2000 (5); Criminal and administrative offenses (6); Final provisions (7).
