Abstract
The present Ordinance implements various articles of the Energy Saving Act of 1 September 2005 (BGBl. I p. 2684). The Ordinance lays down comprehensive provisions relating to the saving of energy in existing buildings and in buildings to be constructed. High thermal insulation technology shall contribute to residential energy saving. The text consists of 31 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Buildings to be constructed (II); Existing buildings and facilities (III); Facilities for heating, cool air and ventilation technology, as well as of warm water supply (IV); Energy certification and recommendations for the improvement of energy efficiency (V); Common provisions, penalties (VI); Final provisions (VII). Eleven Annexes are enclosed.
