Th ringen Water Law.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to water issues in Th ringen. At the outset the Law contains a definition clause relating to various terms employed therein, such as, for example, natural waters , surface waters , artificial waters , groundwater , still waters , catchment area . The text consists of 136 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: Common provisions for waters (I); Special provisions (II); Water plants (III); Waste water elimination and water supply (IV); Maintenance and improvement of surface waters (V); Ensuring discharge and protection of waters (VI); Surveillance of waters, prevention of dangers (VII); Compulsory rights, compensation, settlement (VIII); Provisions concerning competence and proceedings, special provisions for industrial projects (IX); Penalties, violations and final provisions (X). Five Annexes are enclosed.
