Abstract
The Act applies to the keeping of chickens for slaughter. The Act's purpose is to ensure that animals are kept in acceptable conditions and sets regulations on production standards of poultry.
The Act consists of 7 Chapters: Scope (1); Lighting regimes (2); Monitoring of slaughterhouses (3); Payment (4); General provisions (5); Penalty (6); Entry into force and transitional provisions (7).
