Abstract
This Act aims to establish a framework for the establishment and operation of a national test centre for large wind turbines, in an area near sterild and Hjardem l dune plantations in Thisted Municipality. The center will provide opportunities to test prototypes of new onshore and offshore wind turbines, with the measurement of a maximum height of 250 meters. The Ministry of Environment appoints and delegates the Danish Technology University to carry out these activities for the purpose of renewable-energy supply.
The Act consists of 9 Chapters: Purpose (1); Establishment of test centre parameters (2); Guidelines of test centre area (3); Acquisition, expropriation, lease, loss of value of the occupied area (4); Restrictions on building in relation to this protected area (5); Relationship to other laws (6); Delegation (7); Removal and suspension of test centre (8); Entry into force (9).
The Act also includes an Annex 1 with a geographic map of the area.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on 1 October 2010.
Notes
With the implementation of this Law all pending cases on the preservation of test sites shall cease according to Chapter 6 of the Nature Conservation Act.
