Ecology Act (No. 463 of 2008).

The Act applies to the production, storage, preparation, importation and marketing of organic agricultural and fishery products. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries appoints a representative body for the implementation of the Act's regulations - the Organic Food Council. Authorization and approval of organic food shall be marked accordingly and in adherence to EU regulations in the organic sector.
