Abstract
Annex III to Regulation (EC) No. 999/2001 is replaced by the Annex hereby attached. The Annex, which describes the monitoring system to be operated, consists of two Chapters. Chapter A deals with, on the one hand, monitoring in bovine animals, and, on the other hand, monitoring in ovine and caprine animals. Member States may on a voluntary basis carry out monitoring for TSE in animal species other than bovine, ovine and caprine animals. Chapter B regards the information to be presented by Member States in their report.
