Abstract
Annexes III and VII to Regulation (EC) No. 999/2001 laying down rules for the prevention, control and eradication of certain transmissible spongiform encephalopathies are hereby amended. The amendments refer to the genotyping of ovine animals. The prion protein genotype for specified codons shall be determined for each positive TSE case in sheep. TSE cases found in sheep of genotypes which encode alanine shall immediately be reported to the Commission.
