Abstract
The present Decree, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, applies to the prevention of the spread of the parasite Gyrodactylus salaris, which occurs in the water systems of Finland flowing into the Baltic Sea and the White Sea, to the fish populations and fish farms of the Tana River, Näätämöjoki, Paatsjoki, Tuulomajoki, and Uutuanjoki water systems on the Finnish side. The Decree prohibits the transfer of live farmed and wild fish, as well as undisinfected roe, from other parts of Finland to the Tana River, Näätämöjoki, Paatsjoki, Tuulomajoki, or Uutuanjoki water systems. Boats and canoes, as well as fishing gear and equipment that are transferred from other water systems shall be completely dry or disinfected before being used in these water areas.
