Abstract
This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry concerns supervision and monitoring of compliance with provisions of the Forest Act, the Act on the Financing of Sustainable Forestry, the Act on Damage by Insect and Fungus in Forests and the Act on Forest Management Associations. It also provides for control by the Rural Areas Agency of supervision and monitoring of the Finnish Forestry Centre. The purpose of controls is to monitor the compliance with rules and the use of government funds for financial aid to forestry projects. The Decree also aims at collection of information of the quality level of measures for sustainable forestry that receive aid.
