Government Decree on the limitation of emissions of volatile organic compounds due to the use of organic solvents in certain paints and varnishes and vehicle refinishing products (No. 837 of 2005).

This Decree places limit values on volatile organic compounds content of paints and varnishes referred to in items 1 and 2 of Appendix 1 which are to be placed on the market. The aim of this Decree is to prevent environmental pollution, especially air pollution, that results from the contribution of volatile organic compounds to the formation of ground-level ozone. To achieve this aim, limits are placed on the maximum content of these compounds in certain paints and varnishes and vehicle refinishing products as laid down below.
