Abstract
This Plan is designed by the government of Iceland to meet Paris Agreement targets for cutting net emissions and making the country carbon neutral before 2040. This Plan emphasise on two measures: 1) to phase out fossil fuels in transport, and 2) to increase carbon sequestration in land use, by restoration of woodlands and wetlands, revegetation and afforestation. The text further describes relevant actions including using clean energy in various transport sectors, climate mitigation in land use and forestry, support for clean innovation, and public education.
