Ministerial Decree No. 403 implementing Act No. 30 on animal reproduction.

This Decree sets out detailed rules for animal reproduction. This Decree is divided in 8 Sections. Under Section I are set out the rules for public and private breed for reproduction purposes, then Section II establishes the requirements applicable to equine artificial insemination and the minimum requirements for obtaining an authorization for this purpose. Section III regards artificial insemination in general and the provisions applicable to the use of semen, ova and embryos of animals; Section IV provides on embryos; Section V is on the provisions applicable to entry and registration in herd books or registers; Section VI establishes inspections and controls and Section VII regards provisions applicable to imports and exports of animals for breeding purposes, their semen, ova and embryos.
