Abstract
This Law regulates the supervision of the handling of food. Its purpose is to ensure handling the food, which is qualitative and safe to human health, life and the environment, eliminating the risks, promoting the trade and protecting the interests of consumers. The Law prescribes the national competence issues with regard to the handling of all forms of food and any food establishment and natural person involved in it. Issues regarding the handling of food and its monitoring, which are not governed by this Law, shall be governed by regulations of the European Union. The Law further provides for food and the handling thereof; food unfit for distribution; state supervision and control of the handling of food; and suspension and renewal of the operation of food establishments.
