Abstract
After an introductory section providing definitions for the interpretation of the text, these Regulations institute the Agriculture Consultative Council, an advisory body providing a forum for consultation and dialogue between the representatives of the various sectors of agriculture and the Government.
The Council further advises the Government through the Minister on issues relating to: (a) agriculture, horticulture, floriculture and viticulture; (b) breeding and rearing of livestock; (c) keeping of bees; (d) processing of agricultural products; and (e) formulation and implementation of sustainable agricultural policies.
The Regulations describe the composition of the Council, its functions, its proceedings and the nomination of ad hoc committees. It further sets provisions on its meetings, the delivery of its annual report and its relations with the Minister.
