Eco-Contribution (Exemptions) Regulations, 2010 (L.N. 84/2010 as amended by Legal Notice 299 of 2019).

These regulations provide measures, procedures and additional guidance to the Eco-Contribution Act and aim to regulate the granting of exemptions in respect of the eco-contribution due on products placed on the market by producers who participate in the recovery of packaging waste through waste recovery schemes. The regulations provide for the application and the exemption mechanism to be followed for the granting of the exemption and identifies the approving body in charge for the granting of certificates of exemption.
