Abstract
This Decree, consisting of 24 articles divided into five Chapters, creates the Maritime Transport Institution (ITRANSMAR, IP). ITRANSMAR is an A category public institution, whose objective is the supervision, regulation, monitoring and inspection of maritime, river and lake transport and maritime signaling activities in port areas. In addition, it aims at defining the respective attributions and competences and providing for the system, the financial and patrimonial regime, as well as the regime applicable to personnel and remuneration.
