Abstract
This Resolution approves of the National Programme to Industrialize Mozambique (PRONAI). This Programme aims at contributing to the increase of national industrial production, in favour of the use of local raw materials, stimulating production, commercialization, and contributing to rural transformation and generating employment and income, in particular for young people and women. This will be carried out by increasing industrialization and productive diversification, as well as increasing the competitiveness of national companies, improving the trade balance, increasing exports and encouraging the competitive substitution of imports, increasing the GDP and the contribution of the manufacturing industry to the GDP. The result will be the increase in the labour supply and income of the population and the increase in the attraction of investments, which is structured around the contextualization, the analysis of the national industry, the industrial future, the strategy operational, financing models and monitoring mechanisms. The Programme is a Government initiative, to be implemented in partnership with the private sector, following international fund management standards.
