Abstract
This Decree prohibits the fishing for red fishes by Norwegian and foreign vessels of any type which fish for commercial purposes including assistance to the fisheries fleet and experimental fishing. Red fish may form part up to a maximum of 15 percent bycatch of single catches or landed catch of other fish species. Infringement of the rules of this Decree shall be punished in accordance with section 4 of the 1925 Svalbard Act and sections 61, 64 and 65 of the Marine Living Resources Act. For purposes of the definition of an offence, assistance to fishing and attempt to fish shall be considered as fishing. (4 sections)
