Abstract
This Act lays down provisions concerning registration of plant varieties and the production, evaluation and control of seed of varieties of agricultural plant species, and production, evaluation, control and marketing of seed material of the following cultivated plants: (a) ornamental plants or plants used as ornamental; (b) varieties of agricultural plant species covered by the systems of assessment established by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), not intended for trading within the European Union; (c) vine cuttings. Provisions of this Act shall not apply to seed material intended for third countries other than the seed referred to in art. 1 par. 1 point 2b or to forest reproductive material. The national registry of varieties of cultivated plants is kept by the State Centre for Investigation of Cultivated Plants.
