7 USC - Chapter 25 A - Export Standards for Grapes and Plums - § 591-599.

This Chapter makes it an offence to export grapes or plums grapes or plums of any variety, unless accompanied by a certificate of the Secretary showing that such grapes or plums meet Federal or State minimum quality standards established for such variety and destination by the Secretary. The term "grapes" means vinifera species table grapes, European type, whether or not they have been in storage. "Plums" are defined as both European and Japanese type, whether or not they have been in storage, but does not mean Italian-type prunes, nor damson-type plums. The Secretary shall prescribe such standards by Regulation and shall give reasonable notice thereof. The Secretary shall charge a fee for inspecting and certifying the grade, quality, or condition of grapes or plums, to determine compliance with both national and foreign quality standards.
