Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy (50/2010/QH12).

This Law provides for economical and efficient use of energy, policies and measures to promote economical and efficient use of energy, and for rights, obligations and responsibilities of organizations, households and individuals in economical and efficient use of energy.
The State shall implement policies to: use energy economically and efficiently for socio-economic development; increase investment in raising forms to promote scientific research development and application of advanced technologies using energy economically and efficiently; develop renewable energy contributing to ensuring energy security and environmental protection; encourage the use of energy-saving devices and equipment; etc.
The Law further provides for: economical and efficient use of energy in industrial production, construction of public lighting, transport, agricultural production, service provision and households and in state-funded investment projects; management of energy use by establishments that annually use energy in large volumes; management of energy-consuming devices and equipment; measures to promote economical and efficient use of energy; etc.
