Control of Disposable Plastics Act No. 8 of 2020.

This Act prohibits, with effect from the 1 May 2020, (I) the import, distribute, offer for sale, sales or usage of any prohibited goods set out in the First Schedule; and (II) the manufacture, distribution, offer for sale or usage of any single-use plastic bags. Furthermore, this Act lays down provisions on licensing for the importation of any single-use plastic item that is labelled or marketed...
