Abstract
This Regulation approves the Regulation on the granting of aid for the welfare of animals from cattle farms. The objectives of this Regulation are: 1. To create an aid for the animal welfare on cattle farms. 2. To establish conditions for access to the aid. 3. To establish the methodology for calculating the specific aid and the principles and criteria for assessing the animal welfare in cattle farms. 4. Establish the basis for encouraging and supporting the cattle sector so that livestock farms can achieve an adequate degree of compliance with the principles and criteria governing animal welfare.
This Regulation applies to all natural or legal persons listed as holders of an agricultural land in which the ownership of bovine animals is registered.
The Regulation establishes the conditions for the access to the aid; identifies the competent body in charge of the management and control of the granting of the aid; sets up the parameters for the calculation of the amount of the aid; sets provisions for the evolution of the aid.
