Abstract
In accordance with the provisions of Law on waste No. 25/2004 of December 14, this Regulation aims to prevent and regulate the distribution of plastic bags in boxes of commercial establishments and encourage the use of reusable bags Other materials such as, for example, textiles and other alternatives that are compatible with waste prevention. This Regulation applies to all commercial activities that import and/or distribute to consumers plastic bags to transport goods or merchandise, excluding light plastic bags with no handles used as a primary container for fresh food. As a measure to promote reuse and to minimize the distribution of bags, commercial establishments must provide customers with systems that are more environmentally friendly, such as paper bags or reusable textile bags or other recyclable materials, as a measure of waste prevention.

This Decree enters into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Principate of Andorra.
