Abstract
This Decree approves the Regulation on Fisheries. The Regulation, consisting of 51 articles, specifies that the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Heritage fixes yearly the types and the amounts of the allowed fishing licences. Licences may be of two categories: Seasonal fishing licence, which cover all periods entitled for fishing in a season and Tourist fishing licence, with a limited validity in time during the fishing season. Seasonal fishing licences are requested to the Governmental Administrative Procedures Office. To complete the application for a seasonal fishing licence, the following documentation must be submitted: one color photography of 3.5 x 4.5 cm; copy of an official identity document with the current address, for non-resident foreign fishermen. The Regulation also establishes aquatic species authorized to be caught, other than fish, according to article 29 of the Law of fishing and management of the aquatic environment.
