Abstract
The present decree modifies the Regulation on the use of phytosanitary products.
In particular, article 19, on Phytosanitary products for agricultural use, is reworded. It prohibits the import, marketing, possession and use of unauthorized phytosanitary products and submit the marketing and use of phytosanitary products for agricultural use to an appropriate labelling (as established in Annex 5) and to its marketing with use instructions and precautions.
The Decree also amends Annex 1 on the protective measures to prevent the introduction of pests, among which there is the prohibition of importing plants for planting which are not accompanied by an official phytosanitary certificate; of importing plants or seed potatoes of Solanum tuberosum L. from countries other than the Member States of the European Union and Switzerland; of importing soil containing peat or bark other than that consisting exclusively of peat from countries other than the Member States of the European Union. This Annex also lists priority quarantine organisms.
The Decree finally amends the list of unauthorized phytosanitary products contained in Annex 4.
