Decree 350/2022, of 31-8-2022, approving the Regulation on the controlled quality regime of Andorra and on the descriptive terms “Product of Andorra”, “Product made in Andorra” and “Traditional Recipe of Andorra”, applicable to agricultural and food products.

This Decree, which approves the Regulation on the controlled quality regime of Andorra and on the descriptive terms Product of Andorra, Product made in Andorra and Traditional Recipe of Andorra, and which is applicable to agricultural and food products, is composed by 46 articles, organised in 5 Titles.
Title 1, which contains general provisions on the controlled quality regime of Andorra, defines the Andorran Quality Controlled brand that is granted to agricultural and food products that meet requirements of excellence in terms of agricultural or food quality and that are certified by control bodies in accordance with Law 18/2018. This Title also describes the application procedure for inclusion in the Andorran controlled quality regime.
Title 2, on Quality-controlled products from Andorra, is composed by 4 Chapters. Chapter 1, which provides for quality controlled meat from Andorra, establishes the generic conditions for the production of meat, as well as specific conditions related to specific groups of animals. It also sets up rules on the transport to slaughterhouses and the marketing of meat. Chapter 2 is specifically about controlled quality wine from Andorra and establishes the technical and sanitary conditions of premises, installations and equipment as well as the sanitary conditions of the winemaking process, the regime for its marketing and for its labelling. Chapter 3 provides for controlled quality honey production and takes into account the health of the animals and the specific methods and conditions of honey production and marketing. Chapter 4 regulates the generic, technical and sanitary aspects of growing and harvesting truffles.
Title 3 regulates the production control system under the Andorran quality control regime. This title establishes an official control system and a control authority.
Title 4 sets up provisions on Product of Andorra, agricultural and food products, processed or not, obtained from raw materials produced entirely in Andorra and for which, where applicable, all of the transformation processes take place in Andorran territory; product made in Andorra, which is understood to be food products obtained from transformation processes that take place exclusively in Andorra by companies or businesses that are based in Andorran territory and that have the corresponding health and administrative authorizations; and Traditional Recipe of Andorra seal, which is a trademark owned by the Government of Andorra, the use of which is authorized for food products prepared in accordance with Andorran culinary tradition and culture.
The last Title, the fifth, establishes the sanctioning and personal data protection regimes.
