Abstract
The present Decree approves the Regulation which has the purpose to establish the list of single-dose food products exempt from being prohibited for consumption on the same premises in accordance with health criteria.
Single-dose food products, as defined by article 3, are single-use plastic container containing condiments, preserves, sauces and other dressings intended to be consumed at one time.
The Regulation applies to all tourist accommodation and commercial catering activities that make single-dose food products available to their customers for consumption on the premises, excluding terraces.
The health criteria that serve to exempt the prohibition on the consumption of food products in single-dose format on the same premises are: a) Food products that are not a finished product and whose presentation format is that necessary to complete their preparation. b) Food products that contain special active ingredients that bear a recognized nutritional or health claim that is associated with a specific concentration of their main active ingredients. c) Food products intended for people with intolerances, food allergies or specific diseases. d) Food products that may have their organoleptic characteristics affected (oxidation, dehydration, etc.). e) Food products that require refrigeration to preserve their properties. f) Food products whose traceability cannot be guaranteed.
